Derek referred me to these clips, and I must say that I'd really like to see more of Lang. Rabb has some pretty serious finger control too. Minneman didn't really do anything for me, but he seems to be very good.

hehe yeah those guys are pretty insane[there are more clips at Meinl's site from other "endorsers" including Nick from MD's 2003 Festival]

from the Generation X guys I enjoy Lang the most, but Rabb has sick rudimental chops & speed[to my knowledge he won WFD at NAMM awhile ago till Verdi broke his record]

as for Marco his "Extreme Interdependence" book is pretty valuable for those hot on independence [img]rolleyes.gif[/img] (*points at himself*)and I still need to get his "Extreme Drumming" DVD produced by Mr.Gratton(there was an atricle on Drum!awhile ago regarding that, pretty cool!)

Lang is sick... & that clip is humorous...
...that clip with the 3 of them is hip, & slightly different, AW...

...& Minnemann can, in his own way, do independence things ["extreme INTER-dependence"] that i haven't even seen Vinnie, Virg, Weckl, Dennis, OR Lang be able to do [if i'm allowed to even SAY such a blasphemous thing [img]wink.gif[/img] - that still doesn't mean that i prefer him over those guys [img]tongue.gif[/img] ]...
Yeah, some of it can come off as being "exercisical" in nature, but it's still some sick, baaaddd shtuff the way he phrases much of it...
There's also this tune off of his "Green Mind Bomb" [or something like that!] called, i think, "Comfortably Homeless," where he slows & speeds up the tempo of the drumkit part against the unchanging [tempo-wise] bass ostinato, that is an extremely wicked thing to hear.... Yeah, i have his EID book... it's sick... 1 of these daze i'll get around to ACTUALLY WORKING out of it [after i continue to work outta the 'countless' [img]eek.gif[/img] other books that i have, like New Breed]...

When we had Thomas as one of our teachers at PIT in London we used to say he was the "perfect drummer"....not only did he sound incredible but he looked great and carried an awe-inspiring confidence. When you read about his practice routine etc it's no wonder he is where he is. [img]tongue.gif[/img]
